since ive flashed cm7 ive been having epicly bad battery life with very few apps running :(

i get about 4-5 hours of life out of my battery from a full charge :\ i normally only have mixzing music player running with less than half volume to preserve battery, and the occasional use of facebook/ go sms pro

any ideas? or am i better off reverting to flb 2.1?

For me it works if I just wipe the battery stats after the battery was completely empty and i charged it full. If I don't do that i have the same behaviour as you, the battery drains very quick.

yeah one way is to charge battery to full, don't disconnect, reboot into recovery then wipe battery stats then disconnect

thanks for the help guys but it didnt solve the problem, this was not the only problem, the phone became incredibly sluggish, so i ended up restoring a cm6 backup, and it feels lightyears faster :)
