ZTE offline after airplane mode

Hello,

I just tried airplane mode for the first time few hours ago. I was in this mode for about 1.5h. When I left airplane mode I noticed that my sim-card is still locked (no signal with x mark on the bars, and simcard with exclamation mark icon on the status bar). Just like after reboot before PIN is entered. However, it no longer asks me for PIN, even after reboot, shutdown with battery removal, even after reflashed rom (CM 7.1).

What happened? Is this normal? How to bring back this phone online? WiFi works fine btw.

EDIT:

After full wipe it starts asking for the PIN, so I guess phone is all right. It is some kind of software bug. I cant afford the full wipe so I restored data partition from nandroid backup and I am stuck again. Any clue where to look for to unlock this phone?

Sounds like the sim-card has a pin-lock on it, you need to get another phone, (non-android version I would guess) such as a nokia dumb-phone (not smartphone), pop in the sim card into it and go into the security settings and disable the pin lock. Then put it back into the Blade. :)
