Review of USB Host cable for ARCHOS on Archos Gen9

I have the USB Host cable for ARCHOS for the GEN 8

but use this cable on the GEN 9

It not ok for

USB KEY

USB Mouse and KeyBoard

External hard Disk with electric adaptator

it is not ok for

External Hard Disk with no electric adaptator if > at 500 Mha

So it is completely useless? If you cannot use it on any of the four items you tried.

Just a quick update on this to let you guys know, that I have USB host cable and HDMI mini adapter cable from my wife's Nokia N8 box and they both work great with Archos. So it doesn't necessarily have to be Archos-branded cable to work.
