Guest rferrett Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 I am going for it getting an AOSP release on the 16th November.
Guest mxbob Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 i predict that in a massive publicity stunt google will offer everyone who upgrades their device to Ice cream sandwich an actual ice cream sandwich (apple to retaliate by offering free eye pads with every ipad)
Guest simonta Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 Ralph! What happened to your profile picture? I demand that it's returned ASAP ;) I have a sneaky feeling there may be some insider knowledge coming into play here...but, here's my guess. The 16th is Android developer day and they will want to talk about what's new. I reckon a public announcement will be before the day itself and Google have announced an Android version on every day of the week except Friday so, Friday 11th is my guess. How's that for a complete guess that appears to make sense?
Guest rferrett Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 Skills! Not sure what is going on with my profile pic... Seems to be appearing on my account (and on the right hand side of the screen for me) but not on my posts. Must investigate! Ralph

Guest rferrett Posted November 15, 2011 Report Posted November 15, 2011 Woo to the Hoo! Yaya! I am most pleased, wonder if the Vega will be able to handle ICS goodness? I am sure my SGS2 will get some love. Possibly even an OEM rom at some point!
Guest rferrett Posted November 15, 2011 Report Posted November 15, 2011 I see they have finally AOSP'd the Honeycomb source as well. Presumably will help Vega dev's even if ICS isn't going to be able to run on the device.

Guest simonta Posted November 18, 2011 Report Posted November 18, 2011 With kind regards to Harold Faltermeyer. The heat is on... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19477201&postcount=124
Guest simonta Posted November 20, 2011 Report Posted November 20, 2011 Looks like he's serious.... Good idea to register the domain, you can imagine the traffic the first PAN101 ICS ROM will generate! http://whois.domaintools.com/icecreampad.com Of course, I assuming this is the same chap - all the clues point to it being so.

Presumably will help Vega dev's even if ICS isn't going to be able to run on the device. is there a reason to think the vega wont be able to run ICS? i thought ICS was going to be the version of android that ran on phones, tabs, any other device they can squeeze it into?
