Hello!

today my mom came to me with a problem with her Blade. It was completely dead, even tho it had been fully charged a few hours ago with no use. I tried charging it, and it will power on with the charger connected, and state that the battery is 100%, but as soon you remove the charger the phone dies, so I think the battery is wrongly calibrated, thinking it is at 100% but actually at 0% and won't accept charge.

I removed her battery and put the battery from my Blade in her Blade, and vice versa, and now her phone powered up, but my phone would only power up when the charger is plugged, and die when the charger is removed.

My mom had been to a doctor, and had been exposed for X-rays in the room, could that have messed up the battery stats?

Is there any way to recalibrate the battery so it will accept charging, or is a new battery required?

I have clockwork installed on my phone, so I'm thinking that it could work to calibrate it through my phone, and then place it in the other blade?

The battery stats are stored on the phone, not the battery itself.

Have you attempted to charge the battery in both phones? Try leaving it for sometime with the phone switched off.

(Or if you happen to own some kind of multifunction all in on charger, you could try charging it with that.)

If that doesn't work, to me it sounds like you could have a duff battery.

Are you sure the battery contacts are clean.

I had this happening - cleaned the contacts using

isopropyl alcohol

If you are sure thats not it then try a universal desk charger

(£3 or so from hong kong / ebay).
