Guest iconware Posted October 20, 2011 Report Posted October 20, 2011 (edited) Here's the symptoms: 1. With the stock rom, the phone was randomly rebooting whenever I tried to root it. Eventually after the 9th try or so, it was successful. I thought it was the battery, but I fully charged the battery, same thing. 2. Tried it with cable only, no battery. Same thing. 3. I got clockwork recovery on, booted into it, attempted to flash Swedish_Spring_RLS5, didn't work the first 20 times (it just kept rebooting during the process), until about the 23rd time, it just worked. 4. Phone randomly reboots in Swedish. 5. Tried to flash a different rom, this time, after about 20th tries, so far I've given up. Same issue, reboots before it finishes flashing, and it gets stuck on regular bootup. 6. Tried to flash Swedish back, it seems to work for a bit longer, but then randomly reboots again. Here's things I've tried: 1. Changing SD Card. 2. Removing SIM Card. 3. Removing battery, running USB Cable only. 4. Recharging battery. Any ideas? Suggestions? Edited October 20, 2011 by iconware

Suggestions? have you done a factory reset in clockwork? if you tried changing the clock settings this can happen (it happend to me) reflashing/flashing new firmware wont stop it, this is why they recomend to allways do a factory reset and wipe delvik in clockwork before you flash new rom
Guest iconware Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 (edited) I have tried factory reset several times and wiped the delvik cache. Any other ideas? Thanks Edited October 22, 2011 by iconware

Guest hedgepigdaniel Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 It sounds to me like your phone is defective in hardware
Guest unrandomsam Posted October 23, 2011 Report Posted October 23, 2011 It sounds to me like your phone is defective in hardware I have had the same thing - cleaning the battery contacts with isopropyl alcohol worked though. With the battery out - It should be possible to fastboot boot clockworkmod.img (and it should be stable). If it randomly reboots in clockworkmod with the battery out I don't know what to suggest. (I would probably strip it down other people might send it back.)
