Guest wazza2007 Posted October 20, 2011 Report Posted October 20, 2011 I have an Orange San Franciso android mobile which is basically a ZTE Blade. Is there a way of checking if the phone has the latest software? If the phone's software is out of date how do i update it?
Guest doogsville Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 The software the phone comes installed with is usually considered the 'latest' by the manufacturer. You can change it by flashing it with a custom ROM though. There are many different ones available, just spend some time reading these forums. There are a lot of FAQ's and guides, so it takes a while to get all the nescessary information. Having said that, the company that sold your phone may have some information on their website, so it might be worth checking that out.
Guest hahawas Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 FYI, Orange haven't released a Froyo or Gingerbread update yet because they're lazy. So the only way of updating your phone to 2.2/2.3 is through Custom rom. Have a think about it, you won't regret it(unless you manage to brick it but if you know what you're doing you won't)
