My brother recently repaired one, I don't know the full details, but you could PM him: http://android.modac...83-chrisund123/

It's a damn fiddly job, and I only managed a bodge job on it - it works, but only just  Basically, you strip down the phone till you get to the USB socket (plenty of teardown guides if you google it). Then, using an obscenely small soldering iron and some solder wick, de-solder the USB socket from the motherboard, and re-solder on a nice new one. The problem comes with getting the correct shaped USB socket; I couldn't find one for the blade on ebay, so I got a generic one that is a slightly different shape, and it took a bit of guesswork and bodging to get it fixed to the motherboard.

It's lasted for a few weeks, but I wouldn't trust it for too much longer. Would be a lot easier if you could get a genuine ZTE usb socket that fits perfectly.
