Guest glossywhite Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 Yessss! I have read out NVITEMS using QPST on Windows, by putting a clean, brand new OMC into FTM mode: Look:
Guest glossywhite Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 Anything intereating? Well this is, if you can tell me what it all means:
Guest whatcolour Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 This is exciting news! wouldn't flashing an nvitems back up from an unlocked skate to a locked state unlock the latter?
Guest glossywhite Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 What do these locations mean, though? Someone help me out here :)
Guest tilal6991 Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 What do these locations mean, though? Someone help me out here :) I got to that stage as well before Orange blocked me but I couldn't figure out what the code meant.
Guest tilal6991 Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 This is exciting news! wouldn't flashing an nvitems back up from an unlocked skate to a locked state unlock the latter? No it doesn't - I've tried. I'm pretty sure the lock itself is in amss.mbn.
Guest glossywhite Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 No it doesn't - I've tried. I'm pretty sure the lock itself is in amss.mbn. Yes okay, but I am not so daft as to try and flash stuff to my phone, no offence. I want to decode what my unlock code is, from the hex, without flashing anything at all.

Guest glossywhite Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 How many digits are the OMC unlock codes, please?
Guest Navie Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 How many digits are the OMC unlock codes, please? 15 or 16
Guest glossywhite Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 (edited) 15 or 16 Thanks. So, anyone work out what the decimal number in my screenshot it? Edited October 21, 2011 by glossywhite
Guest Navie Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 Thanks. So, anyone work out what the decimal number in my screenshot it? Glossy...how many attempts have you got left to enter your unlock code and how many were there originally?
Guest glossywhite Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 Glossy...how many attempts have you got left to enter your unlock code and how many were there originally? I've all ten left, and not tried any (brand new)
Guest tilal6991 Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 Well putting 30303030000000 into a hex to decimal converter gave 13563782403981312. Might be worth a punt?

At least fairly often (I know of a few instances at least) to read all the nvitems from diag mode you need either a hardcoded sp code or a device specific flash code (even then you cannot get them all with QPST - Can with Revskills or PSAS though) (Far too much stuff is all 0000's)

What was it for the OSF?
Guest tilal6991 Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 Lol, that's 17 digits. You're right. Just realised that. You can't get a 16 digit number with 3s and 0s.
Guest Navie Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 You're right. Just realised that. You can't get a 16 digit number with 3s and 0s. Could it not be a matrix entity?
Guest tilal6991 Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 Could it not be a matrix entity? I have no idea what that means. I will asume it is some sort of maths that is beyond my level.
Guest glossywhite Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 Could it not be a matrix entity? Sounds fictional lol
Guest Navie Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 Sounds fictional lol http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matrix_(mathematics) Btw...by looking at that thumbnail, it seems that actually is the unock code, not sure why though :P
Guest MoreLazers Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 A matrix entry would look like XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX
Guest tilal6991 Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 http://en.wikipedia....ix_(mathematics) Btw...by looking at that thumbnail, it seems that actually is the unock code, not sure why though :P The link you posted doesn't really help lol. But seriously, as far as I remember that's the same code I got when I read the nvitems of my OMC.
