Guest ianbjones Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 Hi Folks. Like a lot of kids my Grandaughter has set a patten lock on her San Francisco, a couple of weeks old, not set a gmail account, and forgot it. Now nothing works ( which I guess was the idea) but how can I get round it. I have read much about Clockwork mod to enable a reflash but it seems always to start from a 'power on with vol+ or~ button held' and the green man stays. But her SF goes straight through to the 'enter gmail account' to recover, and of course we cant. I cant seem to 'see' the SD card either though the usb cable. Being and born twiddler I am prepared to learn how to fix this ' ready for next time NOT', I have found and downloaded clock.....img and other things but the first (probably not the last) problem has me beat. Help required. Thanks, Ian Bristol

Then you should see some small txt with several options to choose from. The fact you can't see the SD via USB is plainly cos he system isn't running, you need to have a running Android to enable USB-connection. Best bet is to get an original *.img to restore the phone to factory-state. Mind you, you'll need an SD-reader to put the files on the card as the USB isn't available :) :D
Guest ianbjones Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 thanks dirlan but he phone is as supplied. The first prob is getting clock working in the phone in the first place i think.. I have it on the PC and can put it onto the sd card with a card reader ready if needed, but without the phone stopping at the green man I don't understand how to install it. Hmmmm that gives a slight problem indeed :) Maybe you should find some info for a workaround in this thread from one of StevenHarpers magnificent guides.... :D
