What does 'cam fixed' mean? Did you modify the camera.apk or the driver to make it work? And is the front facing camera working?

The front facing cam issue still persists Im still trying to get my head around the problem I would appreciate any support I'm looking into the camera.apk it just may seen thats the issue there.

Although the back main cam works perfectly fixed the multi capture bug in the cam.

Did you put the 2011-10-25.00.20.31 folder into the backup folder ?

Yep. I tried restoring with that folder and it gave me that message. I'll try again when I have time.

I turned the clock on in CyanogenMod settings inside the settings.apk and then I rebooted. The clock issue was solved.

I have now gone back to android 2.1 but I will reflash this new update (on top of Feb T-mobile UK updata.app) again to see if WiFi is working now..

If you are interested in trying to fix the remaining issues with CM 6.1 then I'll be tracking your progress even if I don't test every release you try. Are you publishing your source code anywhere? The issues I am aware of with CM6.1 are

  • Wifi does not reconnect, the Blade Wifi Fix app was a workaround for this but it sounds as if you may have fixed it properly. I believe Blade Wifi Fix was switching wifi off then on hence was much slower than just doing a rescan.
  • Sometimes the wifi driver completely stops working requiring a reboot - this is also a problem in the official 2.1 ROM but Blade Wifi Fix turning it off and on seems to provoke it faster.
  • Wifi does not get the correct MAC address - not much of a problem if you only have one pulse. I believe an app exists which can force the correct address if you know what your phone's address should be.
  • Camera autofocus was very noisy because it kept hitting the end stops - I've had Camera.Focus.Fix_signed.zip installed for so long I don't really remember what the problem was
  • When using the main camera the camera driver locks up if you take multiple high res photos in succession. Camera_cm6_patched_anegin.zip contains a patch for the default camera app. Are you saying you have fixed this in the driver so other camera apps will work too.
  • The default camera app doesn't support the smaller front facing camera, it isn't clear to me if the camera is actually not working or if theer is just no way to access it
  • After using an app that turns on the GPS the GPS icon never goes away - the phone seems to have a higher likelihood of doing a random reboot after this happens so I suspect it has corrupted some internal state
  • Sometimes rotation stops working after a few days. The accelerometer itself is still working as apps that read it directly still work, it just loses its link to the orientation setting

Great summary! I second all the items.

I'm playing with CM7.1 but it has the same wifi reconnect issues. (I can manually via menu choose right access point to "help" it - that works. No need to turn wifi completely off, then on).

I also can help it reconnect via command line:

iwconfig eth0 essid MYAP
I've taken iwconfig and iwlist from Huawei Ascend rom. The scan itself works fine, as i see active access points (AP), their signal strength, encryption via user interface. Looks it only hesitates to chose the right AP to associate with. The following does not add value, as the device doing scans itself just fine:
iwlist eth0 scan
