Guest tylerdurden20779 Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 hi guys! first of all: thanks for this forum! i'm lovin it ever since i bought my blade! i love my blade also, but since i upgraded to GEN2 via TPT i have a strange problem. when i call somebody, the person and even the dial tone before sound really bad. it's like really distorted and noisy. sometimes i can hardly understand the other person. as i read in another thread it should have something to do with the gen2 upgrade, but i couldn't find a solution yet. is there anything i can do about that except converting back to gen1? but i want to keep cm7.1 on my phone and that's gen2 only, isn't it?
Guest Demens Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 I had that exact problem a while back. It kinda was fixed by just poking around with things. The problem occured during the update to the GSF b27 rom, but i also was testing around with the Elixir volume gadged that might have messed up the incall-settings. First thing i did was to open up an diagnostic tool i have in Ginger Stir Fry-rom, The tool collection package is called Zte Emode Helper and it's a bunch of shortcuts to tools. The tool i used was Audio Loop Test. It does what it says and loops your speech back to the earpeace. So you don't need to call to anyone The second thing that i did was to test if the audio-problem would be repeated to a regular headset. So i plugged one in and heard nothing. I found out however that the blade does not use the microphone if anything is plugged in to the jack. At this point i also played around with in-call volume. Third thing i think i did was to plug in a wired handsfree headset, i'm not sure if i got to this point. It might sound a little weird but after doing these tests, the audio had gone back to normal. I think it might have been some kind of an faulty overdriven setting for audio that got fixed in headphone mode. However, i've not had this problem since.
Guest macher Posted February 18, 2012 Report Posted February 18, 2012 Any other way to fix it for example on CM7?
Guest Maxsas360 Posted February 18, 2012 Report Posted February 18, 2012 There is. Buy a Nokia 4 pin to 3 pin adapter. Iphone ones do not work.
