Guest noblow91 Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 Hello all. I am trying to find out how to set some kind of dmz or port forwarding on a LG Optimus S (LS670). My ultimate goal is to be able to host a few different game severs off of my computer, but the only fairly stable internet connection I have is through my phone. I know I can host a web server directly off my phone and that alone should at least show I am capable of maintaining an active public IP. I am running gRom2.1 and use Barnacle Wifi Tether as my main way to get my computer online. I have heard ideas about changing some of Barnacle's NAT settings, but I don't think that will achieve quite what I'm looking for. I have searched google and havent really been able to come up up with much more info than that. What I would specifically like to do is open all ports for my laptop due to the shear amount of different severs I would like to run, all of which using different ports. I am fully expecting to hear that its not possible, but I know it can be done. I would write an app for it myself, but I havent familiarized myself enough with android, nor its sdk. i know how to root and flash and change my recovery...just the basics. And I can't fully say I know how to root my phone. I used gingerbreak initially. Its not the same. Anyway, I am fully willing to work with anybody interested in developing something like this, or, if there is already a tut somewhere for it that I may have missed, I would love to see it. The way I see it, it can be done with a desktop version of just about any Linux distro, so theoretically, it should be able to follow the same principles, right? Maybe not the same methods exactly, but at least the same ideas. Thats about as much starting ground as I have, personally.
