Guest gpedder Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 Is there a registry hack or any other way to get solitaire to deal one card instead of three, like the original windows version allowed you to? Its really cool for my boring train journeys except i havent been able to win a single game yet! (SPV user for 2 weeks)

Guest Gorskar Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 Its easy enough to win, I probably win once in every 4 or 5 games. Just remember to always try and turn over as many cards as possible from the main area before taking any from the deck or doing anything else, and when you cant do that any more then take ones from the pack. You can start piling cards into the finishing stacks ASAP, starting with aces and twos. Place threes preferably on the finishing stacks, only if you have put all the aces onto the finishing stacks as then if a two comes up it wont end up without anywhere to go... , although of course always take as many cards as you can from the deck - even if you have to stack quite high on one suit. You can always take cards back out of the finishing pack later. I doubt there is any kind of registy hack to change the game. Just try and master it in its current form - and then realise that there are alot of more exciting games out there :)
