there are some people on our belarusian forum who install this update to zte libra

everething is working (network, wi-fi, data, touchscreen after sleep)

Root для ZTE Libra - ZTE Blade для Официальной прошивки Android 2.3.5:

1)Качаете архив, из него достаете update.zip

2)Copy update.zip на SD-Card

3)Заходите в Clockworkmod

4)Выбираете "apply update from sdcard"

5)Перезагружайтесь, Root установлен.

Root for ZTE Libra - ZTE Blade for Official Firmware Android 2.3.5:

2) Copy update.zip to SD-Card

3) Go into Clockworkmod

4) Choose "apply update from sdcard"

can't get normal root. androidcommander say that not rooted!!!

what gen need for this rom? can i use it on gen 1 blade?

good question! I would presume Gen 3.

it seems the Generations are determined by the Android version.

2.1 was gen 1

2.2 was gen 2

2.3 IS gen 3

Thanks for correcting there phew.. Saved a brick perhaps?

Gen are NOT determined by Android versions.

Gen are determined by your file system layout. In one of the pinned topics, you will find link to Ask Mr. Pigfish. If you can't - then google it. Install that app on your phone. Run it. It will tell you what Gen you are.

Root Android 2.1 - 2.3.7:

1)Download *.rar, extract update.zip

2)Copy update.zip to SD-Card

3)Run Clockworkmod

4)Select to "apply update from sdcard"

5)Reboot, Root !

That method only does half root - still doesn't enable insecure adb (or adb root)

I download the file, but it is in 7z format, do I need to extract first and then to zip again or ...

Release Date: October 18, 2011

instructions:

1) Unpack and copy to SDcard (X: \ Image \ image.bin)

2) Turn off the phone

3) Hold down the button (Menu + Sound + Up ON)
