Guest dmg195 Posted November 2, 2011 Report Posted November 2, 2011 Hi, I have to return my Orange San Francisco due to it powering itself off all the time. I had recently upgraded it to Ginger Stir Fry and I believe this involved update to Gen2 software (it was a Gen1 phone). Can I load the original stock ROM as its now running this Gen 2 software or will it cause an issue? I downloaded the stock ROM from here - http://files.podtwo.com/roms/stock/zte/blade/OUK_P729BV1.0.0B05-update_signed.zip When unzipped I have a boot.img file and System and Meta-Inf folders. Assuming no issue with Gen1/2 compatability do I just delete everything off the SD card and copy these on then restore using ClockworkMod? Thanks for any advice.
Guest Amphoras Posted November 2, 2011 Report Posted November 2, 2011 You need to downgrade to Gen 1 again before the stock rom will work. If you used the TPT method to get to Gen 2, then you have to use the Gen 2 to Gen 1 TPT from the same thread. If you used the windows flasher method, I think there are instructions in that thread on how to get back to Gen 1. Once you are on Gen 1 again, you can flash your stock rom.
Guest hedgepigdaniel Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 The easiest way is jsut to apply this - itll take you straight back to stock eveything http://android.modaco.com/topic/332259-rom-eclair-orange-uk-stock-b20-tpt-image-22-may-2011-oled-tft/
