Hi, I have to return my Orange San Francisco due to it powering itself off all the time. I had recently upgraded it to Ginger Stir Fry and I believe this involved update to Gen2 software (it was a Gen1 phone).

Can I load the original stock ROM as its now running this Gen 2 software or will it cause an issue?

I downloaded the stock ROM from here - http://files.podtwo.com/roms/stock/zte/blade/OUK_P729BV1.0.0B05-update_signed.zip

When unzipped I have a boot.img file and System and Meta-Inf folders. Assuming no issue with Gen1/2 compatability do I just delete everything off the SD card and copy these on then restore using ClockworkMod?

Thanks for any advice.

You need to downgrade to Gen 1 again before the stock rom will work. If you used the TPT method to get to Gen 2, then you have to use the Gen 2 to Gen 1 TPT from the same thread. If you used the windows flasher method, I think there are instructions in that thread on how to get back to Gen 1. Once you are on Gen 1 again, you can flash your stock rom.
