Guest Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 Hi guys! I updated my blade from 2.2 to the cyanogen mod 2.3 rom in august alongwith a radio update. Right after the update the phone seemed to be really snappy and responsive. But soon after it started slowing down. Firstly the native android messaging app kept crashing when I tried to access its settings. Then APN droid stopped working. Now the weather widget doesnt update it self regularly and recently the facebook messenger app cant seem to refresh itself. Seems like my blade is rotting faster than windows 98! any solutions as to why this is happening and how to fix it?? Thanks!
Guest hugobosslives Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 flash a newer rom (or even the same one) again. i'd recomend cm7.1.0 stable http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=blade obviously full wipe (otherwise your problems will persist)
Guest raverrr Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 Cyanogen is over rated in my opinion. To many problems for me. if stability in 2.3 is what you are after I would recommend the less popular but more stable Monfro CAE ROM. I'm on v3 and have been for a while with no major problems. And battery life is as good as Swedish spring.

Guest raverrr Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 No your right I haven't. I'm judging purely on what I have read... Lol. I went from Swedish spring to CM 7.1 and experienced battery drain. maybe not such a big deal but coming from Swedish spring my expectations wer high. Got fedup with it and flashed Monfro. problem solved :)

Guest jonep Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 (edited) If you wipe both your phone and SD card GSF B27 is a really great build. At first the led notification was somewhat annoying until I understood what it was trying to indicate and it occasionally gets stuck on one light or another but it sorts itself out after a while. The battery life is great. Edited November 5, 2011 by jonep
Guest KapTmaH Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 Root Android 2.1 - 2.3.7: 1)Download *.rar, extract update.zip 2)Copy update.zip to SD-Card 3)Run Clockworkmod 4)Select to "apply update from sdcard" 5)Reboot, Root !
Guest swukjay Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 blade mix 360 seems to be the best so far and ive tried them all, its a stable as flb imho but I always tpt before every rom its as good as a format lol wipes all the crap off ! give it a try im impressed with it and I dont impress easily lol. also it has some really excellent themes :)
Guest Posted November 9, 2011 Report Posted November 9, 2011 Is there any thread which details which gen 2 roms are available?
Guest t0mm13b Posted November 9, 2011 Report Posted November 9, 2011 Is there any thread which details which gen 2 roms are available? There is, head over to the subforum, and look for '02/May [ROMS] Current Known / Available ROM's for the ZTE Blade', in the sticky section. Its listed in there with '[GEN2]' on it. :)

There are going to be a lot of disappointed people if they start flashing their blades with CM7 'stable' 7.0.2 or nightly 57. :P Edited November 9, 2011 by KonstaT
Guest Posted November 10, 2011 Report Posted November 10, 2011 Also just saw that 2.3.4 roms are not supported anymore as the official 2.3.5 rom is out. Any one tried it? how is it compared to the other roms mentioned here? and where can I find it?
Guest hugobosslives Posted November 10, 2011 Report Posted November 10, 2011 and where can I find it? really? we are on this thing called an android forum where there are sections called, roms and customisation.......
Guest Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 Gen 2 roms arent listed as well as gen 1 roms. Just put on blade mix 360 with ICS. Loving the interface but I think the battery life is not as good as I thought. Would I need to recalibrate the battery after installing a new rom?
