Hi guys!

I updated my blade from 2.2 to the cyanogen mod 2.3 rom in august alongwith a radio update. Right after the update the phone seemed to be really snappy and responsive. But soon after it started slowing down. Firstly the native android messaging app kept crashing when I tried to access its settings. Then APN droid stopped working. Now the weather widget doesnt update it self regularly and recently the facebook messenger app cant seem to refresh itself. Seems like my blade is rotting faster than windows 98! any solutions as to why this is happening and how to fix it??

Thanks!

Cyanogen is over rated in my opinion. To many problems for me. if stability in 2.3 is what you are after I would recommend the less popular but more stable Monfro CAE ROM. I'm on v3 and have been for a while with no major problems. And battery life is as good as Swedish spring.

I take it you haven't tried CM7.1? It's about as stable as you can get, and it doesn't have the terrible internal memory issues you get with GSF

No your right I haven't. I'm judging purely on what I have read... Lol. I went from Swedish spring to CM 7.1 and experienced battery drain. maybe not such a big deal but coming from Swedish spring my expectations wer high. Got fedup with it and flashed Monfro. problem solved :)

I don't know why you got battery drain. I've had great battery life with it, and I can get over a day with it.

If you wipe both your phone and SD card GSF B27 is a really great build.

At first the led notification was somewhat annoying until I understood what it was trying to indicate and it occasionally gets stuck on one light or another but it sorts itself out after a while.

The battery life is great.

Is there any thread which details which gen 2 roms are available?

There is, head over to the subforum, and look for '02/May [ROMS] Current Known / Available ROM's for the ZTE Blade', in the sticky section. Its listed in there with '[GEN2]' on it. :)

lol, you seriously suggesting that to someone? As the topic tittle says, it's dated to may. That topic should be unpinned or updated.

There are going to be a lot of disappointed people if they start flashing their blades with CM7 'stable' 7.0.2 or nightly 57. :P

Also just saw that 2.3.4 roms are not supported anymore as the official 2.3.5 rom is out. Any one tried it? how is it compared to the other roms mentioned here? and where can I find it?

Gen 2 roms arent listed as well as gen 1 roms.

Just put on blade mix 360 with ICS. Loving the interface but I think the battery life is not as good as I thought. Would I need to recalibrate the battery after installing a new rom?
