Guest Rimlock Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 Hi, My phone is a Gen1 with Eclair 2.1 stock Rom, unlocked and rooted. I wanted to install a Rom but I keep getting Force Close warning screens saying launcher2 is not working. Every time I press to F/C, another one immediately pops up. I cannot get to settings or menu or home screen. The only thing that works, if I'm very quick,is to pull the notifications screen down. I have only downloaded about 7 or 8 apps. When I connect the phone to my PC I can see the contents of the SD card which includes a Clockworkmod folder with a 'recoveries' and ' download' file. But I have no idea how, if at all, I can use it to overcome the F/Cs. Any advice would be great, thank you. Is it possible to do a Factory restore via my PC? Or use one of hedgepigdaniel's solutions on his 'Flashing firmware' post. Many thanks to you
Guest hugobosslives Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 yer you can install roms without booting easily there are two main ways of doing it: flash clockwork recovery image via fastboot or by a tpt upgrade. as i'm guessing your new to this (no offence meant) i defiantly recommend the second one (tpt). have a search on the forum..... i'm not doing all the work for you :P if you get stuck ask again...
