Best partition layout?

Hey peeps...

I tried using the Search option, but I kept ending up with less than relevant results...

Namely, there has been the 'best partition layout' for the Blade that optimizes the usage of space... I think for Gen2 or might be for Gen3.

But I cannot find the necessary TPT or the numbers.

I've seen the post days ago, but I cannot find it.

Help would be appreciated.

Also... what's with Gen3 exactly?

I saw the TPT's were removed because of instability issues apparently.

Any news on when we will get new ones?

There's no such thing as a general "best" partition layout, it all depends on your needs. If you like to switch and experiment with different roms a lot, then a 160MB /system would probably be your choice as this amount of space will allow most, if not all custom roms to fit. I use a 128MB /system with my customized CM7 and still have ~30MB of extra space.

When the original gen3 was discovered, there was also talk about howto update your phone. So if you're in a hurry, you'll find another way to update to gen3 than tpt'ing.
