Its slow enough when not on wifi and I need to stop it flushing the history.

Any idea how to do this?

Is there a particular reason you're using Mobile instead of Mini? Mini is not only faster and uses less data, I also don't have that problem with it.

mini is good as it is much faster and all your data is compressed so your data usuage (and battery conumption) roughly halves.

however it doesn't have all the fancy features of opera full.

i often use opera mini when on 3g or low battery

and yes it keeps my history

I can confirm that... Opera Mobile last update is useless because FCs and Opera Mini is also not reliable after the last update!!!

I returned to earlier versions.

I find that using opera mobile with turbo activated works better than opera mini. (Only disadvantage is the apk is so big).

The 'Opera Turbo' feature of the Mobile version makes it use data as if it was the Mini version. I let mine active when not on wifi connection (aka mobile data connection).
