Guest four2theizz0 Posted November 11, 2011 Report Posted November 11, 2011 (edited) i know i know..."you can't brick it..."...well i think i may have. was using tripnmiui(1 version before trips triumphant return to release the last version)....and well through some extenuating circumstances, the phone died. i know, dumb blah blah blah it won't charge when off...so i got it into xrecovery and thought it was charging and i went to restore a rom and i put it down and when i came back 5 mins later the phone was dead....and it would just flash the red light 3 times when i hit the power button (did not charge from laptop, wall, car).....so i have a friend with an x10 and and we swapped batteries and i was able to turn it on...but it stuck at the boot logo... ....no problem, just open flashtool and hold the back button etc.....nope nothing IT DOES NOT GET RECOGNIZED WHEN I PLUG IT INTO SEUS OR FLASHTOOL AND TRYING TO ENTER RECOVERY MODE and I CANNOT GET INTO XRECOVERY that is my problem.... every forum i have seen has like 50 ppl yelling at the person and teaching them how to enter flashmode or go to xrecovery. ive flashed with flashtool before and am experienced in dealing with roms and i believed you can't brick these phones....i really hope someone can prove that to me as i am losing faith :) I have a fully charged battery thanks to my friend charging it in his phone and am ready to test hehe any suggestions? thank you Edited November 11, 2011 by four2theizz0
Guest rendeiro2005 Posted November 11, 2011 Report Posted November 11, 2011 NO it wasn´t broken! the only way you can broke your phone is after you have booloader open you start to mess with that. rear this and follow the instructions to the letter http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1034997
Guest chunkylover2321 Posted November 11, 2011 Report Posted November 11, 2011 I had this problem where flashtool wouldnt recognize my device. best thing to do is do it from another computer and see how that goes. you can always use pc companion to repair the phone and then just re-root it and try and restore your rom. if it was bricked nothing would show on the screen. this has happened to me before. I just re-rooted it and started from fresh.
Guest 1eyedmonster Posted November 11, 2011 Report Posted November 11, 2011 Have you flashed the compatible kernel with base band etc?
Guest four2theizz0 Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 (edited) thanks for the help guys! im trying NO it wasn´t broken! the only way you can broke your phone is after you have booloader open you start to mess with that. rear this and follow the instructions to the letter http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1034997 Thank you very much...i am going to try this now along with doing it on a separate computer I had this problem where flashtool wouldnt recognize my device. best thing to do is do it from another computer and see how that goes. you can always use pc companion to repair the phone and then just re-root it and try and restore your rom. if it was bricked nothing would show on the screen. this has happened to me before. I just re-rooted it and started from fresh. the problem is that pc companion, SEUS ,or Flashtool *wont* recognize the phone. If i can get to either one of those or xrec...ill be fine it just boots to a sony ericsson logo and hangs or when i try to plugin flashtool or seus to go to recovery mode it doesnt even turn on Have you flashed the compatible kernel with base band etc? not yet as i have not been able to get into xrec or flashtool to recognize the phone...while holding th eback button i was originally on trips kernel which is what i had forever(through multiple of his roms and others)...and bb .71 Edited November 12, 2011 by four2theizz0

Guest Alakasam Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 Hey, I had this like literally a few days ago I swapped USB ports on the computer, booted up the phone and connected it, and once stuck on the screen it started to install the ADB flash drivers, then I could connect in flashmode again! :D
Guest four2theizz0 Posted November 14, 2011 Report Posted November 14, 2011 hey guys, I wanted to say a huge thank you to all for the helpful responses. sadly, i spent a couple days trying all of these and more that I found and could not bring it back to life....which made me deduce that it could be a faulty usb. I couldnt wait to send it in for repair and didnt know where to get it repaired locally. I found one on kijiji for cheap and just got that as i needed a phone again. I loved the x10 too much to upgrade and also just wanted to wait till ICS phones start rolling out to get something new . Now I am off to root again...hehe no lesson learned. Thank you all again! :D
