Guest Eildor Posted November 14, 2011 Report Posted November 14, 2011 First of all... JDIPSAHFSJIDLFAHGUDAFY DNAIDSHFU IDAYFUIDAS FIDLAFSFNNASDFAS Now that that's out of the way.... I've completely messed things up, and 4 and a half hours later and I've got nowhere... in fact I've gone backwards. My original problem was that I couldn't install previous roms, I was stuck on Cyanogenmod Green v5 and no matter what I couldn't get rid of it! 4 and a half hours later all I can do is watch the green android dude on my screen, can't even access clockwork any more. All files on my sd card have been erased... I have absolutely nothing. I have no idea what the problem was, what the problem is now, and how to fix it.... what makes it worse is that I need to get this fixed today because I'll be selling the phone on Wednesday and the only reason I wanted to go on a different rom was in order to confirm that my display was an OLED display. I really hope someone can help me -- I'm losing the will to live!!!
Guest Eildor Posted November 14, 2011 Report Posted November 14, 2011 Ok I dragged over an old backup onto my SD card, rebooted (holding the volume up) some green text appeared with some T-FLASH or something (think it toggles between gens or something, don't remember as I installed it ages ago)... I can now get into ClockworkMod 3.0.2.7
Guest wrtease Posted November 14, 2011 Report Posted November 14, 2011 can you download mr pigfish from the market.and tell me the results please.i think you have just gen1 to gen2 your mobile now.

Bro I can't even get past the green android dude... Also does anyone know where I can download Cyanogenmod Green v5? If I put that back on there I think it might work.
Guest wrtease Posted November 14, 2011 Report Posted November 14, 2011 take battery out and put it back in and connect tousb pc and run clockwork again or hold the volume down and power together until clockwork appears then restore backup.or just install rom again.
Guest Amphoras Posted November 14, 2011 Report Posted November 14, 2011 Try downloading the Swedish Spring rom onto your sdcard. Then go back into clockwork and wipe everything, then flash Swedish Spring. This should work whether you're now Gen 1 or Gen 2. If it boots, then you can use Mr Pigfish to check what Gen you have and then you can choose what you want to do next.

I lost my backups, everything on the SD card was wiped. The only backup I have is a really old one from before CM Green v5... it seems to let me get into clockwork but that's about it.

Guest Amphoras Posted November 14, 2011 Report Posted November 14, 2011 You can get back to Gen 1 using the Gen 2 to Gen 1 TPT from this thread. There might be some info in one of the sticky threads here about telling the difference between OLED and TFT screens as it was important to know back at the start.

No idea what this whole TPT stuff is about, all new to me. I'll have to check it out -- thanks.

If I can get to gen1 then I imagine I can then install the stock orange rom would should enable me to check my display type (or at least I hope so).
Guest Eildor Posted November 15, 2011 Report Posted November 15, 2011 I managed to get back to gen1, thank you all for your help you are all amazing.
Guest Eildor Posted November 15, 2011 Report Posted November 15, 2011 have a look here: http://android.modac...ft-how-to-tell/ After installing the stock ROM (Orange branded) I was able to enter the code which showed up as "Glass:SAMSUNG" which I believe is indeed the OLED display. Thank you :)
