Guest Archer_cn Posted November 19, 2011 Report Posted November 19, 2011 (edited) Hi all, I just unfortunately bricked my ZTE Racer (3uk version) by flashing an unknown TPT rom , maybe a zte-link one. So now my phone is totally dead. Tried every keys combo but no luck to make it connect to PC, that means USB connection is no longer available. I google around and found it may need a Jtag device for resurrection. But with proper Jtag pinouts and software tools , the hardware might not be necessary. Any suggestion ? Edit: I mailed it to a guy who have the Jtag deviece, and he revive my Racer. cheers! Edited December 17, 2011 by Archer_cn
Guest Rahulj85 Posted November 19, 2011 Report Posted November 19, 2011 if your phone is being detected under DFU mode then this is what you need to do.. go to this link http://android.modaco.com/topic/337757-update-save-ur-bricked-v880-and-also-the-imei/ use the tpt provided in the link below...follow the procedure step by step...dont forget to backup your channel.nvm file(if you can do it, i certainly couldnt becaue my phone was really messed up) All credits goes to Shadowtrance because of the tpt backup of Telstra 2.1 update 1 (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=44CYTSAK) all the best!

Thank you for reply. But I think my phone "is really dead", no DFU detected when connected to pc,,So this won't work...

Guest Archer_cn Posted November 21, 2011 Report Posted November 21, 2011 so no fastboot, adb, dfu? do you have the recent zte usb drivers installed on your machine? there's nothing to do with computer. I have both win7 and XP on my pc, and installed racer usb drivers. I flashed couple of times on Win7 and xp. All work like charm. just after I flashed a TPT format ROM named "P726GV1.0.0B11_REL.zip"...it's dead. NO notification sound when usb cable connected(press and hold vol+&vol-). If there's a solution, it must be Jtag. and have to take my phone apart to do it.

Yes, I must have . Finally I found Jtag pinouts for ZTE Racer, but don't have the device. Still I'm planning to give it a try without the jtag device.
