Guest philmein Posted November 19, 2011 Report Posted November 19, 2011 have two omcs here both were displaying assert failed code 7 errors when i tried any rom apart from cm7 used tpt to go back to stock went back to stock ok but same assert failed code 7 error all other update zips worked gapps cwm ect just the roms would not load. a fix that seems to work is in the mounts and format settings in cwm the defaul settings seem to have changed coz i never had this problem before. anyway after lots of tinkering i changed the setting to sd ext mounted all others unmounted and to format system ( system was set on mounted this could have been the problem) . hopes this helps somebody i think steve pj in the bluemonte 2.3.4 had this same problem and it was unresolved.

I doubt the problem was the system being mounted, cuz almost ALL update-scripts mount /system when installing. I also was having the same problem after resizing my partitions, had to return on stock via FTM and then was fine.
