HDMI output, Portrait mode?

We use the device for presenting at work. The device displays beautifully on an HD TV looks nice and crisp as it supports 720 properly as you would expect.

The only issue we have noticed that it sticks in landscape mode, the HTC Senstation and GSII will turn portrait when holding in portrait mode.

Anyone know a way to get the phone to show in portrait mode? and not just turn portrait apps on there side?

Try an app called orientation control, maybe forcing to portrait might do it.

What MHL adapter are you using with the Galaxy Nexus, one of the generic ones they sell for the SGS2 and HTC Sensation?

When in potrait mode it outputs the screen on its side lol so does sort of work but not quite.

We have the official htc mhl which supports 3D. Maybe a sansung adapter might work. Can anyone confirm? Paul?

Just tried using the $40 oem Samsung MHL adapter (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005LGUDKK/ref=oh_o01_s00_i00_details) and its stuck in landscape too.

Ok now im interested.

The hdmi dock sits the phone in portrait mode. Im wondering if dock mode will cause a different output.
