Guest ouijaouija Posted November 25, 2011 Report Posted November 25, 2011 (edited) Hi, recently the battery will not fully charge and does not last anywhere near as long as it used to. I've done a search on here but all I find is stuff related to battery drain after changing the phone software. I haven't done any modification on the phone other than deleting the orange start up logo etc, it just uses the orange android OS, and I bought this in March 2011. Is this battery problem common, normal in phones etc? I have a year Tesco warranty on this phone, will this be useable, or is there a solution to the battery? - Example of problem, charged for 24 hours and will not go higher than 81%, and at 20% battery the thing does not last very long at all Thanks Edited November 25, 2011 by ouijaouija
Guest dreis911 Posted November 28, 2011 Report Posted November 28, 2011 (edited) have you tried a Battery Calibration? I've just done it last Saturday. It seems that it can go further with a full tank. :D By the way, has anyone noticed any difference between charging the phone on the PC's USB or on the wall charger? Edited November 28, 2011 by dreis911

Also, Li-ion batteries have a "short" lifetime, dependent on the number of charges. Do you use your phone a lot, recharge many times, etc? You can read this page to know more about taking care of Lithium based batteries, maybe you can see a usage pattern that you do which kills batteries: http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/how_to_prolong_lithium_based_batteries By the way, has anyone noticed any difference between charging the phone on the PC's USB or on the wall charger? Yeap, much faster on wall charger! Wall charger gives 5V @ 700mA, while PC's USB also provide 5V but less amperage, in the order of 100mA to 500 mA..
