Hide files or nomedia

Hi, ive just got the galaxy nexus and used android previously. I used to use .nomedia files to stop some files from showing in the gallery but this isnt working on ICS, does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Unfortunately not, but would love to be told of a good gallery replacement that allows you to choose the photo folders
