Guest gaminatorr Posted November 26, 2011 Report Posted November 26, 2011 Hey! Just wanted to know, has any1 tried skype video call on any of these devices?
Guest todoleo Posted November 26, 2011 Report Posted November 26, 2011 I tried earlier on, I didn't really find the option to videocall. Either I haven't found the menu setting to video call or Skype video calling is not supported at the moment. I'm not a big Skype user anymore, I mainly use Google Talk.
Guest fr0do Posted November 26, 2011 Report Posted November 26, 2011 The Google+ app caters for video calls. Much better than Skype IMO http://www.androidcentral.com/google-hangouts-now-available-android-phones-supports-23
Guest gaminatorr Posted November 26, 2011 Report Posted November 26, 2011 Thanks for the answers ;) But I need to contact a person who's using PC, very often, so this phone is a "no go" for me :( Too bad I really like it...
Guest The Soup Thief Posted November 26, 2011 Report Posted November 26, 2011 Can your pal not use g+ on the pc?
Guest fr0do Posted November 26, 2011 Report Posted November 26, 2011 Yes g+ is superior on the PC, for all but paid calls.
Guest gaminatorr Posted November 26, 2011 Report Posted November 26, 2011 Can your pal not use g+ on the pc? Im so dumb, I thought it was only possible on mobile device :) Thanks mate, will sort this out, but still would be nice to have skype working with video chat :) Tomorrow that beauty will be in my pocket - Vivacity :D
Guest gaminatorr Posted November 26, 2011 Report Posted November 26, 2011 Can your pal not use g+ on the pc? Wait, what?! So you have to pay for calls?
Guest The Soup Thief Posted November 26, 2011 Report Posted November 26, 2011 I'm sure someone will get a Skype workaround sorted sooner or later for the B2 / TMV. Initially on the Blade it was only possible to channel audio through the speaker (rather than the earpiece) for a few months til some bright spark sorted the audio routing out
Guest gaminatorr Posted November 26, 2011 Report Posted November 26, 2011 (edited) I'm sure someone will get a Skype workaround sorted sooner or later for the B2 / TMV. Initially on the Blade it was only possible to channel audio through the speaker (rather than the earpiece) for a few months til some bright spark sorted the audio routing out I remember there was a hacked version of skype released in summer. It did enable video call almost on any device with a front camera. Ohh.. well, still a good device for that price ;) Thank you for all the answers! Cheers Edited November 26, 2011 by gaminatorr
Guest fr0do Posted November 26, 2011 Report Posted November 26, 2011 Wait, what?! So you have to pay for calls? Only with Skype.
Guest miali Posted November 30, 2011 Report Posted November 30, 2011 Can someone please confirm that video call works with Google talk on T-mobile Vivacity? Many thanks!
Guest twatter Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 Can someone please confirm that video call works with Google talk on T-mobile Vivacity? Many thanks! Am I correct in assuming that the front face camera does not work ? .... it seems that no one has answered the question? If I am incorrect please let us know.... What about skype / google talk with out front facing camera? Thanks P.S looks like a nice phone
Guest Simon O Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 The latest versions of Google Talk with video calling don't work on the type of processors that phones like the SanFran2/Vivacity have.
