Is it possible to make honeycomb rom without device source?

Long time reader, 1st main post here.

Just a quick question about compiling a honeycomb rom.

I currently have an ancient wits a81e 7" tablet that the manufacturers have never released the source code for.

Could it be possible to create a rom for such a device, even if I don't have the device source?
