Guest diordnaBLADE Posted November 28, 2011 Report Posted November 28, 2011 Hi all, Out of nowhere I have a problem with my blade. When I try to turn on wifi i get the message "Unable to scan for networks", then wifi deactivates itself. So far I have tried the following without success: 1. removing the battery and restarting 2. changing sim card 3. deleting the wifi config file in the phones /data/ directory Number 3 failed because I'm unable to use a file manager to view, rename or delete the files in the phones /data/ directory. I thought that my phone was already rooted... and that it being rooted means that I could see the files in that directory, but it seems I was wrong. Either my phones is not rooted, or rooting would not necessarily mean that I can see those files. I know that I had to root my phone to install the 2.2 custom rom (SS5 i think it was). So to try to fix my wifi problem I really want to get that wifi file deleted, since this is what most forums recommend to solve this problem. Do I need to root my phone again? Does anyone know an easy way to browse and delete the files in my phones /data/ directory? Or do you have a better idea to solve the wifi problem? I really don't want to have to reinstall android, so I will leave that as a very last resort at the moment. I really appreciate your help guys! Stay cool B)
