has anybody done a hard reset after installing dk update ,and been able to decertify phone afterwards. I ask because i had to hard re set phone and my backed up sd/ipsm does not seem to want to load.Ihavealtered files mxip-oem-10 and mxipcold-oem-10 to show new values ,but phone still locked to apps

any help much appreciated

You should not be having any problems as far as I can see.

As the DK update alters the rom, when you hard reset all that should

happen is that you go back to the condition the phone was in after the update.

So you should just be able to decert your phone again.

I am getting phone to hard reset (back to dk update) files in windows alter fine,just cannot use uncert apps????

The only thing I can think of is that the files are being copied over too late.

the files will look ok but that does not mean they have been copied over in time

and used in the decert process.

The two files that you copy over are only looked at during the

initial reset process, not in the normal startupshut down process.

I don,t mean to answer my own question but could it be that the phone on dk update initially resets to danish ,then resets again to english ,should i put in files on 1st or 2nd reboot???

It does not reset to to english, it changes to english language because of activsync.

As you are doing a hard reset so you erase IPSM etc you tranfer the files as doing an normal

unlock.

If you just reboot the phone you will not be able to unlock your phone it must be done as discribed here

I know you have probably read this before but to unlock your phone is the same method either before or after the DK update.
