Password locked how do I unlock ?

Hi all ,I hadn't used the vega for few weeks, and when I switched on the password screen was alphabetic instead of the usual numerical.I entered my password but nothing happens and after 5 attempts it locks for 30secs.Can anyone help me either reset my password or advise any other fixes.Many thanks

If you can connect via adb and reboot into recovery, wiping data might do the job..... Otherwise I suspect it will be an NVFLASH job.
