Carrier IQ "rootkit" and our beloved Liquid Metal ROMs

I've read this article:

Can our beloved cooks give info about this "rootkit" presence in their ROMs?

I'm pretty sure that the Acer base ROMs do NOT include any CIQ stuff.. and no ones going to add it.. so you'll be fine, unless your carrier has added it.

I had no CIQ but had dropbox logs which apparently is a sign of something bad, so I paid the £0.60 for the Pro key and removed/blocked whatever it was. What a cool app. :)

edit.

If anyone does this they may want to do a backup first, I had no problems but best to be careful.
