Tethering

sorry if this should be in a more general section rather than blade im wondering and not just being lazy as i cant test as its my brothers tablet but im thinking of buying a tablet myself ill have no wifi but off my phone I.E thethering(ZTE BLADE) will i be able to use samba as in streaming media laptop to tablet are will my phone not act as a proper wifi hotspot(router) can it accept multiple connections will it stream any advice much appreciated

There is a samba app, I use it sometimes when I can't be bothered to connect USB.

Tethering also works great, I had to use it recently when my ISP had some problems in my area. Rather than use the built in tethering feature (if you're on a 2.2+ rom), Wireless tether is a better option, and exposes many more settings :)

thanks for reply though i think you missed my point ive used tethering no problem tethering to tablet and to computer wirelessy and works really well im wondering will my phone act as router and let my tablet stream from my computer hope thats a better explaination any advice much appreciated

Can do it just with basic routing set up an access point on the phone but change the default route to be the PC. (And enable suitable options).

You will have to use a non standard app or a gscript.
