orange warranty?

hey guys, got a question about the orange warranty..

so I bought my san francisco from orange last christmas, around about the 20th december...and for like 2 months now, my usb port doesn't work..i.e it cant connect to the pc so I cant transfer any files etc, and for some strange reason only my lg charger works on it to charge...the original and a samsung micro usb charger I ordered from amazon doesnt work even though a member on here said it works and even provided screenshots

has anyone had a similiar problem, i tried it on two different computers but it can never connect to pc, it just says device not found even though it worked properly for about 7/8 months when i bought my phone, which is really annoying because I cant transfer any music and the wifi transfer programs never seem to work for me and are so confusing..

and would orange warranty cover this?

Why not buy a card reader, Poundland sell them, and transfer files that way.
