Guest nachoman133 Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 Flash the phone with stock Orange ROM. Root will gone. could you point me in the direction to find the stock rom and how do you install it?
Guest Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 could you point me in the direction to find the stock rom and how do you install it? Flash this rom from clockwork recovery.
Guest D3abL3 Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 If you just want unroot delete "su" from /system/bin/ or /system/xbin/ and unninstall Superuser... But you don't need to worry about root because that shouldn't void your warranty(read it).
Guest Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 (edited) And maybe a dalvik wipe to remove any trace. And of course if you are returning to shop,be good idea to remove any root apps from the device. Edited December 1, 2011 by Guest
Guest Wacky.ddw Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 If you flash to your stock rom do you need to delete clockworkmod to in order to get waranty? or isnt this even posible.

Depends how you flash Stock ROM, if it's a zip open the zip and see if there is a recovery.img file, if yes then it will flash stock recovery too, else not. If it's a TPT it should flash stock recovery afaik.
Guest Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 I think some of the TPT we have here also have stock ftm recovery.
Guest unrandomsam Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 Just use the monte carlo tcard update from ZTE http://wwwen.zte.com.cn/endata/mobile/UK/UK_SoftWare/201111/P020111121528517000019.zip

But i had to install clockworkmod before i could take a nandroid backup, so wont it allso have clockworkmod in it? Actually there was no recovery partition before i flashed clockworkmod if i wanted to go to stock recovery it showed a wite box with the letters FTM in it. I still have some questions clockworkmod here Edited December 1, 2011 by Wacky.ddw

I still have some questions clockworkmod here With Stock recovery you also get FTM Mode so Recovery is no longer on Vol-. That's everyone's problem.... if you'll use cwr to make a nandbackup DON'T flash cwr, just boot in it... so yes, that recovery.img is cwr...

Yea i wish i knew that at the time, but the day i bought the P4310 is the first time i ever touched anything with androind on it and allso the day i registered to this forum, to ask support on rooting it. A guy named hakupanda made a stock nandroid backup. But im not sure if he did it with cwr, and if he backed up the original recovery partition. So i will try to flash it but im on smallband now so i cant download it yet. I hope i never have to use the waranty actually, but if something ever goes wrong and they would send it back because it has cwr on it, that would be a shame... BTW: How do you even boot into cwr without having it on your recovery partition? Edited December 1, 2011 by Wacky.ddw
Guest unrandomsam Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 Still don't get why people are adverse to using the TPT (You can do it from the android gui (About Phone -> System Updates) or probably with menu + volume +) It definitely is the thing to do If you don't know how to use any of fastboot adb or clockworkmod properly (Which the existence of this question implies). Unless you want to learn what do which is pretty sensible (But I think unlikely if the phone is broken).
Guest D3abL3 Posted December 2, 2011 Report Posted December 2, 2011 BTW: How do you even boot into cwr without having it on your recovery partition? Instead of "fastboot flash recovery <path-to-recovery.img>" do "fastboot boot <path-to-recovery.img>".
Guest Wacky.ddw Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 (edited) I asume the recovery.img is the same on the ZTE skate as on the Medion P4310 so i downloaded this stockrom GB_CURETAIL_P743V1.0.0B10.zip and moved to recovery.img to the Nandroid backup from my phone. Is it safe to try and flash this? Edited December 4, 2011 by Wacky.ddw
Guest Wacky.ddw Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 (edited) What i tried is overwrighting the recovery.img from the second link over the recovery of the first link. This obvisously gave a md5 sum mismatch, so how do i put the original recovery.img in the nandroid. Im pretty sure the recovery from the Curetail ZTE version wil be the one i need. This is a nandroid from the stockrom taken by Hakupanda: GB_BEL_MEDION_P743V1.0.0B02 http://www.mediafire...2b1xqqhhleoyc1t GB_CURETAIL_P743V1.0.0B10 http://www.multiupload.com/EK7LXZTJC6 I would really really like some help on this one since now no one with a P4310 made a backup with there original recovery so none of us could get the waranty back. It would be great if i could just flash it trough recovery reboot and have the original rom with FTM recovery. Edited December 4, 2011 by Wacky.ddw
Guest PedroVader Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 (edited) I'm not a whizz with ADB, but I'm sure there's a command that removes the md5 tags and allows you to flash nandroids made on other phones, did it with my blade a couple of times last year after I bricked it, using one from the wife's phone. Any of the devs know the procedure as I'm away from home and laptop at the mo? Edited December 4, 2011 by PedroVader

I dont even have ADB, neighter do i know what it is. From what i eve read about its a part of the android SDK. And once its installed you have to put in command lines trough CMD instaid of using clockworkmod? This way you could also use the original FTM recovery? So the only way to make a full stock nandroid, is to flash the original nandroid backup from the stock medion phone. Then flash the stock ZTE recovery.img with ADB Then boot clockworkmod from the pc instaid off from the phone. And then back everything up with ADB. Or is this completly wrong? Anyway if there would be a simpler way because this is way to difficult for me... I aint no developer or i never studied anthing like IT, so if someone could help me with this one i would be very very grateful! Edited December 7, 2011 by Wacky.ddw

I aint no developer or i never studied anthing like IT, so if someone could help me with this one i would be very very grateful! You now know what is fastboot(Android SDK part) and how to issue these commands so the worst part is gone :) You have two links in an above post, if I understood correctly you want to flash your phone with the 1st link but using the recovery.img from 2nd link, right? If not, please explain and also what is each link. What exactly are you trying to achieve? Is to restore your backup(which had cwr included) and then flash stock recovery, or what? If first then: Reboot your phone in fastboot(adb reboot bootloader will do the trick), then flash each partition(the commands I posted above). By doing this method you can choose which recovery.img to flash, the stock or the one you backed up(cwr). I hope I understand what you need correctly, but if I didn't please tell me and explain in order to help you even further.
Guest Wacky.ddw Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 (edited) Wow so what i said was correct? :D Ok what i want is a complete stock rom or nandroid. Because no one in the MEDION P4310 thread made a stockrom without CWM in it. And the 3 people i know with a P4310 allready have a custom rom installed. So there is noway i can make a full stockrom from a new medion phone, so if something goes wrong with one of our phones we are screwed because there is no way to get waranty back. So the "GB_BEL_MEDION_P743V1.0.0B02" is a stockrom made when CWM was allready installed. So it contains a CWM recovery.img But i asume the ZTE's "GB_CURETAIL_P743V1.0.0B10" has the same stock recovery.img then the P4310. (the one that says FTM) Because what medion actually did is just changing the bootlogo etc. You could try and flash it if you want it looks very much like ZTE stock. So what i actually want is a .zip you could flash trough recovery, so once you reboot CWM is gone and your phone is back like its new out of the box.But if making a rom is to difficult a folder containing all the .img files with the right md5 so it coudl also be used by CWM would be good two. Guest D3abL3 Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 I don't mind to make a cwm flashable zip to get stock recovery, but you can get stock using fastboot method and once you're full stock you can boot in cwr and make a nandroid. This way you'll have a full stock backup for future.

Here's the zip: http://min.us/m30oNpWq2 No, you don't need SDK to use only ADB, you can download my app(see my signature) and open CMD from it.
