Flashing back to stock ROM OUK_P743TV1.0.0B05

Quick question I rooted by OMC (Thanks Paul!) and this was fine. Was deleting the Orange Apps with Titanium backup and now I can't make calls!

I can send SMS and incoming calls are fine.

I've a contract Orange SIM.

Had the phone running stock for a month or so, thought I'd root and delete the orange apps I dont use.

I did back up the whole phone with TB.

When I dial (the dialer app is fine and all my contacts are there) clicking a contact or last call etc does nothing and dialling even 150 (Orange CD free on contract) just clears the number from the dial edit box.

Also Wifi seems not to work.

Was planning to install CWR and do some backups before proceeding to flash with a stock ROM OUK_P743TV1.0.0B05 which is what the unit shipped with.

I've 2 OSF OLED now GEN2 CM7 7.1 but this is my first rooting endevour on the Skate.

I've not tried any unlock etc I thought I'd 1) Root and remove Orange bloat 2) Install CWR 3) See how that was for a week or 2 4) Try custom roms / CM7 unofficial port

You can restore everything (system rom and also boot partition) back to Orange stock simply by TPT an Orange image.bin. All personal data will be lost - make sure you backup apps, contacts, sms etc.

I have all my contacts apps etc. backed up off the phone so I can do a full wipe restore.

Should I have backed up the firmware?

Its odd tried a factory reset (Setting privacy factory reset, wipe everything and clicking the "erase everything" button does not seem to do anything.

Also with WiFi all my settings (APs) are done and turning wifi on to set up a new connection does not work. It turns off and then says error and turns itself off.

I've used the TPT to gen2 my OSF to Gen2 is there an Orange.bin file for the Skate? I saw the ROM I had posted on Modaco in the Stock Skate roms post.

I will try and install CWM on by phone using Paul unoffical CWM for Skate.

Tried a full restore apps + data (System apps also) from backup using Titanium.

Still the same no wifi etc did a power of an reboot after the restore.

After the reboot the phone would call 150 and other numbers there was a long 4-7s lag between hitting dial and the dial screen.

And Wifi was all back

Took out the 32GB MicrosSD card and got the CWR screen just done a factory reset.

Orange Rom seems to be ok calls and Wifi seem fine now still have problems with dialer though, it dialed the first time but the proximiy sensor was not working well and I could not end the call. Had to pull the battery, then on restart dialer did its not dialling any numbers again, the dialer crashed! I used the Settings, Accessibility, and tick the "Power button ends call" box. So the button on the side of the phone will end a call.

I will backup using CWR and then if someone points me to a stock ROM I will use that. I assume I download the rom check the MD5, copy to phone, reboot clockwork, select the file and flash back to stock (Will loose CWR and probably get the stock recovery)

I backed up the using CWM.

Installed Paul's Orange stock Rom original back to stock :) with CWR :)

Prox sensor and dailer working well

Off to backup this working image ...

Then root ....
