ZTE Blade Gen 2 to Gen 1 Conversion

I have a ZTE Blade in black, recently I converted it to Gen 2 using the method in the link below, however I want to convert back to Gen 1 as I have another ZTE Blade in White which is the one I use and would like to upgrade to Gen 2 but may in future want to downgrade back to Gen 1, the black ZTE Blade is not in use as it is rather beaten up and not worth selling so have used this as a tester, however when following the instructions on the topic below about extrating the Gen 2 to Gen 1 files onto the SD Card like the instructions say, when rebooting the phone and holding the Menu & Volume Up button it bring the green writting does a few things then says its ok then reboots but I get the same oversized Android Logo like you get in Gen 2 however it has the top part cut off and boots into Android Recovery, is there a way to convert it to Gen 1 again, help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi Hecatae, thanks so much for this, I have now converted it back to Gen 1 as I installed Mr Pigfish & Mr Pigfish says I have Gen1, However I do still seem to have the huge android logo with its head cut off as a boot screen, is there anyway of converting it back to original small one?

Hi OrangeSanFrancisco,

Your such a noob, you do make me laugh!!! ;) (dont worry guys, I'm not being mean.... I know this guy in real life....)

I think what we tried last night was merely the TPT from both: Gen 1 --> Gen 2 and the Gen 2 -- > Gen 1

And then we flashed the Orange.zip file via ClockworkMod kinda method, rather than TPT'd that too....

I will have a look at the ROM when I am back home, but I think its pretty much the same method, simply extract from the ZIP file, and copy all the files in there into the folder called Image on your SD Card, and do the same process to flash it, it will then flash this Rom to ya phone, and should fix the headless Android....
