Having tried and failed to root phone using DooMLoRD's Easy Rooting Toolkit [v4], I have tried your method above and don't think it has worked . The steps I took were: 1)Download and unzip to sdcard/image the file http://files.podtwo....AV1.0.0B06.zip. This left a file called image in that folder. 2)Perform update as in steps 3 and 4 in your method. 3) Repeat 1&2 for the file http://android.podtw...secure_boot.zip Connectbot suggests that the phone is not rooted. $su gives the following output: su: access granted, courtesy of www.magicandroidapps.com su: permission denied. Superuser app detects there is a new su binary but cannot update, failing as follows: Gaining root access... Checking installed version = fail! Have I done this process wrong? Phone is showing a build number of TUREISV1.0.0B02 and otherwise seems to be functioning fine. Many thanks in advance.

That is the version of SU is the one that comes with the device, not the one that is compatible with ChainDD's superuser app. the best way to tell if your rooted is to type 'id' from adb.. it should give you a value of user 0.. thats root what you need to do is using adb.. adb remount adb rm /system/bin/su[/code] then try to update the version of SU.

Thanks for the response. I'll try this and see how it goes.
Guest Ninja_Harbinger Posted December 1, 2012 Report Posted December 1, 2012 Ok so I did this but when I used Root Checker, it said it isn't properly rooted.
Guest schmatzler Posted January 4, 2013 Report Posted January 4, 2013 This doesn't work with the Gingerbread ROM. I tried the ZergRush exploit, but it didn't work either. Is there no way to root this device? It's like 1 1/2 years old, there must be a way.
Guest schmatzler Posted January 5, 2013 Report Posted January 5, 2013 Someone on Youtube finally found it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLtbyM8yWr4 Thanks to that little kid I can do everything that I want now with my device. Awesome! Now let's patch up a kernel and run it :)

Guest schmatzler Posted February 19, 2013 Report Posted February 19, 2013 (edited) I am currently trying to build Cyanogenmod 7 for the Tureis. The BoardConfig is nearly done, but some of the proprietary vendor blobs and bluetooth includes are missing, so it doesn't build yet. You can try adjusting my BoardConfig from here: https://github.com/s...e_device_tureis If you find all blobs, a build should be possible. Edited February 19, 2013 by schmatzler
