Guest flip2000b Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 what we really need, if possible, is a program that can alter the resolution of the screen so that we can try and play some of the pocket pc games that seem to work on the SPV, or am I just being stupid?
Guest meaks Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 I dont think it would be hard to change the resolutions of the games etc. The problem is that most pocket pc programs arent freeware and therefore you wouldnt be allowed to edit the code
Guest SlartyBartfast Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 Read your post with interest and have dug up a program called "nyditot virtual display" for the pocket pc. This allows the user to change display resolution and includes a fuction to "Fit to display", effectively increasing the screen resolution... Can one of you egghead boffin types (Space monkey, mboden are you listening !!), have a look at getting this to run on our beloved spv ? I have tried but to no avail.... Installs ok but then wont run (no error messages though !)
Guest davidhorn Posted February 16, 2003 Report Posted February 16, 2003 Hi Slarty, I have NVD on my Pocket PC - the problem is that when you first launch it, the control icon disappears down to the bottom right hand corner of the Pocket PC screen. Also, a stylus is needed to alter settings. You might want to give JS Landscape a try, I've never used it but it's the same principle as NVD.
Guest DJHope Posted February 16, 2003 Report Posted February 16, 2003 Thats a bloody good idea, id love to see something like this as zisoft games work brilliantly. :)
Guest flip2000b Posted February 16, 2003 Report Posted February 16, 2003 that was the original idea, after seeing that ziosoft games, or at least some run on our phones, i thought that altering the resolution may make them run nearly perfect, especially if the overclocker works.
