Guest aamiel Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 Most of the latest ROMs around here have lost Dolby but have an equaliser. I don't like so much choice so while thinking of reverting to older ROM, I found that there is an app to get Dolby back. I am not sure I can post the link here but if you google for 'Dolby Mobile Activator' you should be able to find it.

Guest Frankish Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 Says its for Desire HD only though...
Guest aamiel Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 Says its for Desire HD only though... Something good happens when I use it with bluemonte. I don't know if it is Dolby but it is fine. As to posting the link, as Dolby is some kind of trademark and I don't know how this works, I didn't really want to commit myself. I am talking about the link Tillaz posted.
Guest xiaoyaoswim Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 Installed on CM7, it seems no difference whether it's turned on/off.

Bluemonte has dolby sound already ;) And this tool can only enable dolby if the rom supports it,as far as I know. So would be pointless using it on cm7,atomic,etc,as they dont have dolby support.

I'm working on an update.zip that will bring Dolby Mobile to other phones as well So hopefully in the future we can use it on non stock/Bluemonte ROMs to activate Dolby.
Guest putbinoot Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 I stuck with Bluemonte 1.8c as it still has dolby, don't want to be faffing around with an equilizer, some things are best kept simple.

Atomic 1.6 looks very nice and feels nice too. with bluemonte, i get 1306 on the latest version of antutu benchmark, but with atomic, i get 1708. However, dolby sounds very nice I have to admit. Playing music on bluemonte was better even with the latest version of equalizer installed on atomic. :(

Guest WillDroid Posted December 7, 2011 Report Posted December 7, 2011 Nobody would happen to have a download link to 1.8c by any chance would they? I'm whacking a custom ROM on mine the second I get it, no messing with orange rubbish, so I like the idea of Dolby as a 'showcase' feature :) Cheers Will

I tried 1.8d as I loved the idea of the status bar power widget but I am now seriously concidering reverting to 1.8c if I can find it back...
