I've seen the t&l rom, do these roms come overclocked? also do they have the option of letting you install programs on your sd card? help will be greatly appreciated thanks :) p.s how much of a difference does overclocking actually make? do u notice a big diference in speed? and how does the battery life be effected? Generally, you need a kernel that supports overclocking. Check the individual rom threads to see if they do. Failing that check out Technolover's kernel thread. t&l for example has an optional overclocked module. Then you'll want a program to set the cpu...setcpu for example.

Guest Smeelious Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 See Kozmic's post http://android.modaco.com/topic/346043-how-to-install-a-custom-rom-partition-your-sd-root/ Follow steps 1-10, Replace the ROM with the kernel you want, Don't wipe anything, profit. Overclocking may or may not decrease your battery life. Depends on the governor you choose, if you undervolt, how often you use the phone etc.

Depends on the governor you choose, if you undervolt, how often you use the phone etc. I already have gingerbread on my phone(however i have rooted and removed some stock apps), do i have to download it and install it again, like it says in the post: How to install a Custom ROM 1.) Download Gingerbread: http://vache-android....php?fileID=124 Also I think I will install the t&l rom, do I install the ROM first and then the kernel? And am I right in thinking once I run recovery I just locate the kernel zip and then run it from the kernel and then my phone is overcloked? p.s. what do you mean by governor? Depends on the governor you choose Sorry for asking all these noobish questions, i jus really wanna overclock this thing :) Edited December 6, 2011 by shuaib10
