ZTE Skate (2.3.5) Root

hi guys, i want to root my ZTE Skate 2.3.5. I found a Tuto on forum but i am not sure that this one is working on 2.3.5

can somebody help me ?

Hi do you have a offical skate or did you buy it in the Aldi? At first when i bought the skate i didnt understand how to root it at all. It was allso on 2.3.5 so the methode is the same. In the MEDION P4310 topic i added how i rooted the device it in the first post: Link

Here are the steps ive taken to root the phone (im not responceble for bricking)

1) Installed clockwork recovery follwing this tutorial. http://android.modac...-the-zte-skate/

2) Made a nandroid backup of the stockrom, but if you would need it afterwards you can also download the one above.

This is a complete backup of the wole system so if you flash the backup it like you bought it...

3) Did cache wipes in Clockworkmod recovery. The guide shows where they are in the menu

(Wiped date/factory reset, Wiped Cashe partition, wipe dalvik cache and format system)

4) Installed a Custom rom, i prefer Bluemonte but you can also install other roms that are ported for the ZTE skate. They are on this forum (Like Cyanogenmod nightly, atomicblue...)

(If your screen turns black when you are calling or getting called after flashing a rom.)

Type this into dialer - *983*0#. Go to sensors and while not covering the sensor click calibrate.

Or in cyanogenmod go to ZTE skate settings in appdrawer and choose 'proximity sensor callibration' this should solve the problem.

Doesnt matter you will have to do the same things. Follow the clockworkmod installation tutorial from the LINK below. Just make sure you have the correct drivers. When the phone reboots and CMD says waiting for device you will have to install the drivers from this post: LINK

Once you have clockworkmod installed you can install custom rom like bluemonte 1.6 or what ever you choose.
