Can I use a blank SD Card?

Hi

Possibly a silly question (I have tried searching using the search tool, but I think because I'm looking for "SD" the search won't work), but I have a ZTE Skate, but no SD card.

Is it ok just to download a ROM to a brand new blank SD card and then start using this?

Does the SD card need certain data or folders set up in advance for the Android software to work?

Yes the card will work. If you have previously transferred any apps to sd then you will need to reinstall. The camera app may need telling to store pictures on the new card as well.
