Guest Markiv Posted December 7, 2011 Report Posted December 7, 2011 Hi All, Need suggestion on this tool. All comments regarding the tool seems good but seems odd that not many mention about it in modaco. So cant we use this tool to for using ROM memory to its max - for all those apps which we dont get apk's? (as there is a limit to depend on Apps2SD as it still requires some amount of system memory) Is there any downside of pushing too many apps to ROM memory, like unusual battery usage/too much of battery usage for idle?
Guest flshg Posted December 7, 2011 Report Posted December 7, 2011 Do you have a link to more detail about this? If the process involves moving apps into the system/app directory then its risky, as some apps dont seem to behave properly when saving files. I used to move lots of apps into system/app to gain space in /data partition and some of the apps would crash or fail to save files to sdcard. Perhaps I didn't move them properly (I'd deleted the classes.dex files and rebooted but still didn't work).
Guest targetbsp Posted December 7, 2011 Report Posted December 7, 2011 Titanium will do that for you. I suspect the reason it's not discussed here much is because we've mostly re-partitioned our phones to small system partitions anyway! I wouldn't do it for any app that gets regularly updated as you'll have to keep moving it to system.

Its very simple using the app. But i have done it only 1 app at a time, then reboot as the app does it - and check the application... Had tried it extensively using BLADE MIX 365 but later experienced terrible battery issues - phone idle takes about 50% of my battery. Wasnt able to pin on the exact problem as i did too many other changes. So gonna try the same with FISH 'N' CHIPS Market link : https://market.android.com/details?id=com.lrenault.tools.apps2rom Few reviews : http://forum.samdroid.net/f10/apps2rom-root-move-your-updated-applications-system-rom-5690/ http://appaggie.com/2011/10/05/apps2rom-root/

Anyway this apps2ROM clearly pushes app to ROM and keep the updates in the system user partition.... do check it once.
Guest flshg Posted December 7, 2011 Report Posted December 7, 2011 Yes paid version of titanium has the option to integrate app updates into rom. I've used that option a few times and it seems to work ok.
