Radio on Liquid MT

I was wondering if there is a possibility to get an FM-radio on the acer liquid mt?

I am doubting between the Acer liquid metal and the acer liquid mini, currently priced the same in a belgian store.

Th lack of the radio on the metal is my only draw back at the moment considering I often go cycling and like to listen to the radio while doing that.

FM radio through wifi and 3g are thereby out of the question.

Anyone know a solution?

High :)

Maybe you should look up a Mobistar-shop and get a San Fransisco for about 139 €.... Many nice customRom's available as a top up LOL but even the stock has a decent FM-radiooo

:D

The Acer Liquid MT has support for FM Radio without WiFi and 3G ;) just plug your headphones in and it should work ;)

So when buying a new one this will already have a newer rom which has radio on it by default?

Being new to smartphones and android what would be the first things you suggest in doing to get the maximum out of the phone?

I have read that the standard camera app is not so good and that lgcamera is a better alternative.

Are there other apps that are better then the standard ones? But still are free ...

Thanks in advance for all the reply's!

upgrade to the official 2.3.6 Gingerbread

get root (to use link2sd)

install link2sd (to use memory card for apps)

your phone is ready!

Hmm, being a newbie to Android I have several questions...

I assume the upgrading can be done the official way (updating service in android)?

I was reading several topics about ROM's and Recovery (CWM Recovery) stuff to install on the phone. What is the diffirence between the 2 and what do they do actually?

To get "root" there is probably an explanation on this forum I can follow?

I'm sorry for these "newbie" questions ...

But you've already been a great help!

It will have radio, like Techno said you need to use the earphones (they act as antenna) to use it.

lgcamera does seem to make photo's better but they are still not good, do not expect iPhone quality camera or anywhere close!

Apart from that, no not really. It's a great phone for the money.
