Use a DLNA server program in your PC, install mobo player and skifta in your metal. The rest a pretty much self explanatory

Made a Samba server on PC and use es file explorer to view all your server folder

I tried Davide's solution but it's way too slow...

I'll try other solutions during the week end and I'll tell you how it went :)

This works!

What do you mean with "too slow"?

I take it no one here uses CineXplayer?

Installs on your phone as a player, just share the movie like you would normally in windows, browse to it on the phone (ES File Explorer etc) Open the file, choose cineXplayer and thats it.

Streams a 1gig+ movie in seconds, haven't had any buffer problems.

Edit - Had the wrong name originally.

It's your network.

I can stream movies that are 4gig+ blueray rips perfectly fine, using either CineX or Mx player, just tested it.

I think you're right but sadly my network will not change :/

I have a Tp-Link WR1043ND Draft N, 300 mbit/s but it looks like my bedroom is a little too far from the router...

I'll try to find some workaround, thanks :)

Is there an easy way to make a Windows 7 PC have Samba? It seems complicated from what I have seen.

There is no need, my friend :)

You just have to share a folder on Windows (right click on the folder then properties then share) and access it from liquid.

Samba is Windows file sharing for Linux so if you're on Windows you do not need it :)

Get Bubbleupnp and upnplay on your phone then install ps3mediaserver.org. excellent super simple media streaming for DLNA devices.. like ps3 or your phone! It is not limited to ps3.

try "Serviio" as a streaming server (or any other DLNA server) ;)
