Thinking about buying the Liquid Metal for my gf

Hey there,

I'm thinking about buying a liquid metal for my gf. I was once an Acer Liquid user (now I own a Nexus S), and I had SEVERAL issues with my liquid.

It had a weird I/O issue that was hardware related, so there was nothing no one could do. Is that present on the Metal? Also, can you remove the breeze UI by selecting not to use it on the settings menu? I remember that on the liquid's 2.2 you could.

I heard people complain about call quality. Is it really bad?

Thanks for your opinions

I have had no issues at all except call quality. I Moved from a Motorola L2 (lol) to this phone and everything works perfectly except I have trouble understanding what people are saying when I speak to them!

It might be because I have Dolby enabled?

I recently listened to an mp3 (through speakers after swapping from my iPod) and it was way too bassy until I disabled it maybe now I have done that I will be able to understand people, lol.

The call quality is not top notch, and it's a bit quiet too. Doesn't work too good in the subway or crowded areas. Using headset it is fine.

I work with mg mt (1000 minutes month, more or news) and I've never had a single problem. Of course it is not top notch crystal clear high end Sony Ericsson or Nokia device but it really does its job. :)
