San Francisco stopped playing sound from speak

Out of the blue my SF with Moldovan Mile-High-Mountain-Pie RLS7 (Android 2.3.5) stopped playing any sound / music from loud speaker. It was working yesterday and today it is just not.

I am wondering whether this can be software issue (tried to restart, remove battery) or hardware speaker has really died. Phone is usable in vibration mode (if I can realize it is vibrating), internal speaker works fine and I can talk and hear people.

Any ideas ? Thanks.

I would say try a rom reflash.

If your problem persists,it could be a hardware issue :(

If you know how to do a blade breakdown,you could take off the plastic housing on the rear to see if the speaker has moved.As far as I remember from my blade breakdown,the speaker has no wires etc,it simply slots in to its housing.

your warrenty will be void if you remove rear casing,as you will need to remove the white seal on one of the screws.

I managed to fix this by just moving the speaker around.(actually the wire that goes all the way down the side of the phone - turned it a bit because it looked like it might be touching something) worked fine.
