Welcome to the site

Ok start v2 click on begin, place the phone in the cradle and click OK.

Files will now be copied from the phone

Remove phone from cradle when instructed and click OK

prform a hard reset and then a couple of seconds after the blue screen appears

place the phone back in the cradle.

And that is it ;)

PS try turning the pin code off

So you wait for the blue screen to appear for a few seconds before

placing the phone back in the cradle?

Strange that you do not get a connection, it can take 20+ seconds before activsync

kicks in, just try leaving the phone in and see what happens. Some times it can appear

that the phone has finished booting but don't be fooled

just leave it and see what happens. Also how are you testing that the decert has worked?

Just curious

ok i have GPRS!!!!! FINALLY PRETTY COOL!!

i did it through the orange site...

everything went well and i got this message

Your SPV will be unlocked shortly and a message will appear on the screen of your SPV to confirm this. Please note that it may take upto 5 minutes for your device to be unlocked.

This is the message that will appear on your SPV.

but i still don't have a message from orange.... (waited for 30min)

I also bought my phone in the Netherlands. I tried every possible way but without result. I'm now working on the official Orage way. Ik downloaded the program "Action Register" trough the link provided a few posts above. The program installed, my phone got registered but didn't get unlocked. (They said on the website that I could take up to 5 minutes before the message arrives) I'm still waiting.

I did make contact through GPRS. I don't give up but it's kind of frustrating that nothing seems to work......... Í think i'm going to throw my smartphone out of the window just as I did with al my windows based computers (just kidding, I just love my SPV)

I de-certed 2 SPV's the old fashioned way. Can't beat a good challange !! It's like a lucky dip to see if the browser favorite had changed or not.

Yes, this was the root of your problems. The latest Danish ROM update (v. 1.3.6.24) quite effectively closed off the possibility of doing an unofficial decert. Suppose this gives an indication that UK users can also expect the same with their upcoming update.

Good to see you managed to get yours de-certed the official way in the end.

Heh - the fun wears off after the first 150 attempts, believe me
